Nate Diaz’s first-ever professional boxing bout didn’t go as the former UFC fighter would have imagined. In a 10-round matchup, Diaz lost to Jake Paul via unanimous decision.

Throughout the fight, Diaz didn’t do much and was struggling to go against a young and sharp Paul. After the fight, as expected Diaz received a lot of criticism from fans as well as his former UFC rivals.

Conor McGregor, who was expected to see the fight, took to Twitter to mock Diaz and Paul by mentioning that he’s more interested in rapper Saweetie than the fight. “Fu*k this, saweetie what’s up,” Similarly, Dustin Poirier also took shots at Diaz on Twitter.

Diaz on the other hand wasn’t devastated after the fight and took the loss like a true sportsman. However, it seems like he didn’t like all the hate he got for losing. “Most people don’t know sh** about boxing ??,” wrote Diaz in a recent tweet.

Diaz has called out his critics by mentioning that people really don’t know about boxing at all. Nevertheless, Nate Diaz must be satisfied with the money he earned and the entertainment he gave to his fans.

Nate Diaz has a huge fan base, and his fight with Jake Paul had some moments that fight fans really enjoyed. However, at the end of the day, Diaz lost the fight fair and square.  Nate’s elder brother, Nick Diaz has come out and has shown interest in fighting Jake or even Logan. In an interview after the fight, he said:

“Let’s cut to the chase, I’m a lot better than both of these guys that are out there. I’d love to entertain the idea of moving on to whoever they’ve got for me. So if they want to do Round 2 [against Jake], if [Nate] ain’t going to do it, I’ll take it. [Jake’s] got an older brother too, so don’t forget about the one and only.”

Nick mentioned that he would like to fight Jake or even Logan because he believes he’s better than those guys. The last time fans saw Nick in action was at UFC 266 against Robbie Lawler, which he lost via TKO. However, given his fan base, he might be able to sell some good tickets.
