Nate Diaz recently got into some trouble in New Orleans. The UFC fighter got into a street brawl at the Misfits boxing event and later on outside on the streets. And now he has legal trouble.

At the Misfits x DAZN X Series 006 boxing event, UFC star Nate Diaz throws a bottle reality star turned boxer Chase DeMoor. Reportedly, the reality star was hurling insults from the back where he was seated, and Diaz responded accordingly. This started a massive brawl and Nate Diaz reportedly was escorted outside by security.

Outside, Diaz was captured on video choking a man unconscious. The man was tiktoker Rodney Petersen who gained popularity on social media for being YouTuber Logan Paul‘s look alike. Nate Diaz now charged with second degree battery and arrest warrent issued in his name.

Nate’s teammate and good friend Jake Shields posts some pictures on Twitter titled, “Some leaked photos this morning out or New Orleans. The photos features Nate Diaz in the typical orange prison uniform, with Jake Paul on the witness stand and Nick Diaz, Nate’s older brother at the judge’s chair. AI generated those pictures obviously. Nate has a fight scheduled with Jake Paul later this year in August. The highly anticipated boxing match is now in questions as Nate possibly faces battery charges and may go to prison. Jake’s rival KSI responds to the issue on Twitter offering to fill in for Nate Diaz against Jake.

After facing battery charges for the brawl in New Orleans, the court grants the UFC fighter bond for $10,000 along with full permission to travel out of the city of New Orleans. Marc Raimondi tweets out the statement from Nate’s representative Zach Rosenfield.

No announcement has been made regarding cancellation of Nate Diaz vs Jake Paul match in August. With Nate released by bond, the match is back on track. Nate and Jake will face off on August 5 in the much anticipated boxing match.

Many thought Paul would face Nate Diaz as he makes his debut in MMA. Jake Paul signed an MMA deal with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) in January. But now the two will face each other in the ring at a catchweight bout of 185 pounds.
