UFC featherweight Nate Landwehr just blew the roof with another entertaining performance, this time against a warrior like David Onama in a 3-round war at UFC San Diego where the crowd roared at the top of its lungs watching the action and pace of the fight unfold like a movie. Round 2: Some huge significant strike advantage in favour of Onama. Nate lands some huge shots and David gets to hold for recovery. A takedown during the clinch work by Nate. Nate is getting the pace of the fight in his favour. A couple of submission attempts were followed by a ground and pound attempt and another submission attempt. In other words, Nate is dominating the round very conveniently and is looking to break David’s fighting spirit on the feet and on the ground.
Some strikes on the feet and Nate has got David in an anaconda choke attempt on the ground. Top position and huge elbows again from Nate. A slick mistake and Nate gets caught with a couple of shots followed by him getting back up and dominating David on the feet again. This fight is changing levels at every second of the round! This round ends with a proper 10-8 for Nate Landwehr!
Round 3: The pace of the fight fluctuates from low to high starting with another set of exchanges. Nate just leaves David on the ground and starts walking across the octagon to show that he still has his pace going while David is out of breath. At this point, there are levels of cardio between both. BUT HERE COMES DAVID. Some powerful shots and Nate seems to be in trouble but David gets caught in a clinch and finds himself on the receiving end of the knee strikes.
The place is getting insane right now. Nate is clearly showing a huge advantage with his clinch work and cage side wrestling. Wild exchanges from both sides.
