“I’m not dead yet”- General Nick Diaz is eager to return to the octagon with a new fight

Nick Diaz is once again ready to bring the action into the octagon after his return to UFC against Robbie Lawler in September 2021 at UFC 266. Before Robbie, Nick fought Anderson Silva in 2015 at UFC 183.
Both the fights resulted in Nick losing to his opponents and after his loss to Robbie Lawler it was unclear whether he would be returning again or not however, it seems, Nick is all again set to return to the UFC for more action. Posting a picture of himself along with a lion Diaz captioned: “Put me back in I’m not dead yet.” Indicating that Nick is ready to fight the No. 3-ranked welterweight Leon Edwards.
Leon was scheduled to fight Jorge Masvidal until Masvidal pulled out of the fight with an undisclosed injury.
‘Nick Diaz looked like a different man’ -Daniel Cormier discusses Diaz’s return at UFC 266
With Nick wanting to return to octagon anytime soon, Daniel Cormier has expressed his dissent about the same. Cormier in his ESPN Show “DC&RC” said: “My last visual of Nick Diaz, I don’t feel like we’re gonna really see him again in the octagon.”
Nick who lost to Robbie Lawler looked completely out of shape and many speculated there were other reasons why he took the fight. Diaz returned from an almost seven-year-long layoff at UFC 266 in September for a rematch against Robbie Lawler, but he wound up getting stopped in the opening minute of Round 3.

While no one was expecting him to fight again, his head coach Cesar Gracie recently said he would return by the end of this year. Nothing is official yet, but those who care about Diaz don’t want to see him walk inside the octagon again.
