The Mexican beer company Modelo Especial has grown tremendously in the last decade. This growth has finally led them to become the premier Brew company in the United States of America. Bud Light has been the premier beer in the US for the past two decades. But in the past few years, Modelo Especial has invested its time and money into the right partnerships, including the UFC.

Their brilliant marketing tactics and quality products benefitted them immensely. A prime example of such a business strategy is when Modelo partnered up with the evergrowing brand name of the UFC. The UFC president Dana White said, “Modelo is an amazing brand that shares UFC’s unmatched commitment to its fan base.” He further stated, “I love Modelo, and we’re already talking about doing many exciting things together.

Consulting Firm Bump Williams, who possesses the NQ data of Modelo, claimed that the growth is due to several factors. Strong retailer support, great advertising, eye-catching packaging, and a “springboard effect” from Cinco de Mayo going into the summer are the primary reasons for the rise in value for Modelo.

Bud Light has made several errors that have led to its decline in recent years. The Mexican imported beer company has seized this opportunity and become the country’s no.1 beer manufacturing establishment. Bud Light used to sponsor UFC events and drew the anger of Brock Lesnar at UFC 100. However, since then, Modelo has taken over.

Anheuser-Busch is the parent company of Bud Light. The company is based in Belgium, and its global chief marketing officer stated that their recent controversial partnership had forced them to reevaluate their plans. The executive referred to the partnership Bud Light made with a transgender influencer.

The company partnered with Dylan Mulvaney in April of this year. The company made a custom-made beer can with the influencer’s face on it. Bug Light received a lot of backlash from conservative and right-wing supporters. This led to a lot of transphobia on the internet. The company tried to respond in an attempt to sustain the damage. However, their response has only angered LGBTQ+ advocates. It went well with the saying, “Go woke, get broke.

Such controversy propelled Modelo to overtake Bud Light currently. It looks like Bud Light continues to do everything wrong at the moment. Only time will tell if they can turn their fortunes around.
