‘He gets a finish within 3 rounds’ – Paddy Pimblett gives honest reactions to Charles Oliveira vs Islam Makhachev for lightweight title belt

Paddy Pimblett talks about Charles Oliveira vs Islam Makhachev
Paddy Pimblett doesn’t see Islam Makhachev walking away with the vacant lightweight belt. The Liverpool star is rooting for Charles Oliveira to become retain the lightweight belt once again at UFC 28o.
Paddy Pimblett is a rising lightweight and aims to be a champion of the division one day. But it is fair to say he still has some distance to cover before he can fight the elite of the elites. The UFC has been on an absolute roll this past few days as they announce fights for the upcoming Abu Dhabi card, UFC 280. The international PPV event will be headlined by the much-anticipated lightweight matchup between Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev.
Charles is coming to get back his belt that he lost to the scales in his fight against Justin Gaethje, while Islam Makhachev, the second-coming of Khabib Nurmagomedov is looking to continue the former lightweight champion’s legacy. Paddy has never been a fan of the “Dagestan” style of fighting. Naturally, Pimblett believes the Brazilian will defeat the Dagestani and will do so in “Do Bronx” style.

Paddy Pimblett believes Makhachev does not have the experience to face “Do Bronx”

“I think Charles Oliveira wins. He gets a finish within 3 [rounds]. Simple, you know what I mean?” said Paddy in a media presser when asked about the predictions for the lightweight title fight. “Both unbelievable fighters. Islam is quality but he hasn’t fought the caliber of opponents Charles has fought. I think Charles gives him so many tests.”
Islam, despite having a ten-fight winning streak has been criticized by many that the Dagestani hasn’t fought top-caliber opponents. Paddy has the same problem with Islam getting the title shot without fighting top-ranked opponents. Islam has been unlucky with several cancellations which have stopped the world from watching him be tested against the elites.
“Hasn’t he fought anyone in the top 10? Just Dan Hooker? He was on like 2 weeks’ notice? Yeah, Oliveira all day,” said Paddy. Pimblett on the other hand is scheduled to fight at the O2 Arena in London this weekend against Jordan Leavitt.
