Former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo drew much attention when he said that Palestinian fighter Belal Muhammad is the fighter closest to Khabib Nurmagomedov. Cejudo, known as “Triple C” for his Olympic gold medal in wrestling as well as his exploits in mixed martial arts, made this comment amid speculation regarding a rematch between Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad at UFC 300.

Talking about the potential fight, Cejudo pointed out that Belal Muhammad is the closest fighter to Khabib Nurmagomedov. He believes that he will train with Nurmagomedov and can defeat Edwards in their rematch. Cejudo also explained that Muhammad, being a Palestinian fighter, was fighting for his people.

Henry Cejudo praises Conor McGregor after his middleweight bout announcement

Conor McGregor, the UFC double champ has been praised by fellow double champ, Henry Cejudo for his latest announcement of a middleweight fight against Michael Chandler. McGregor, widely known as “The Notorious,” announced plans to fight Chandler at 185 pounds on June 29 during International Fight Week.

In a recent video on his YouTube channel ‘Triple C,’ gave a thumbs up to McGregor’s efforts. He praised his ability to fight in four different weight divisions within the sport. The former two-division champion recalls noting McGregor’s capacity to fight at 155, 170, and even 185 pounds. He congratulated McGregor for accomplishing this achievement. 

Cejudo went on to hypothesize that certain MMA elites claim to be uninterested in McGregor’s fights. However, he believes that the entire globe will tune in when the charismatic Irishman gets inside the cage. He also stated that the shift to a heavier weight class may favor McGregor over Chandler. This is especially true given McGregor’s progressive weight gain during his absence from the sport.
