Bottom line is I want to see a submission tonight. I think we have to remember, I think without Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, UFC would be incomplete, and anybody who says otherwise is a fool.Paul Walker via UFC Interview
Walker also showered respect to the Gracie family, the pioneers of BJJ in the USA. Moreover, he expressed his desire to see a submission finish in the main event. Walker’s conversation hinted that he sided with Gracie in the main event against Hughes.
Nonetheless, Hughes easily defeated the much older Gracie via ground and pound in the first round. It is the first and only loss in the UFC for Gracie, who was a three-time winner of the UFC tournament. UFC 60 became the best-selling PPV for the UFC then, and Gracie became the highest-paid athlete even though he lost.
Paul Walker talks about combat sports
