“Fight will be crazy,” Paulo Costa confident of finishing Khamzat Chimaev in the very first round

Paulo Costa vs Khamzat Chimaev’s fight at UFC 294 is already turning out to be one of the most anticipated bouts of this year. Both the fighters have already started taking shots at each other online and this is making fans extremely invested in their rivalry. Recently, Costa was on the MMA Hour show and talked about how he and Dana White wanted to make this fight but Chimaev was scared.
Costa stated: “I want a lot that fight. Dana [White] wants a lot that fight. The audience wants that fight. But not Chimaev….Chimaev doesn’t want that fight, so he tried hard to get another guy to fight. Leon Edwards, Belal Muhammad, [Kamaru] Usman, he called all these guys.”
He added: “He’s nuts. He’s crazy. He doesn’t say anything relevant, nothing [that] makes sense. He’s crazy. I love him. He’s making me make money. He’s a good fighter. In the end, very deep at the bottom, he’s a good fighter. Let’s go. Let’s go there, beat him at his f****** house.” Paulo also claimed that he will finish Chimaev in the first round itself. “I think this fight will be crazy and it’s going to end in the first round,”
Costa responded to Chimaev’s claims of making him cry inside the cage by claiming that the Russian doesn’t make any sense. But according to the Brazilian, he’s happy that by beating Khamzat Chimaev he will earn a good fight purse.

Henry Cejudo is an expert when it comes to analyzing fights and the former double champion recently made a video about the upcoming mega fight Paulo Costa vs Khamzat Chimaev. While discussing the rivalry, Cejudo mentioned that both fighters are trolls and will indulge in various trash-talking.
He said: “The biggest question that I have with Khamzat Chimaev and Paulo Costa: who is it that’s having fun and who is it that’s actually getting emotional?..Paulo… He is a troll and he does have fun on the internet… Paulo Costa takes no prisoners. Now look at Khamzat. Khamzat will troll, but how serious is he about this?..It’s a psychological war.”
According to Henry, Costa will try his best to get under Chimaev’s skin and it would be interesting how the ‘Borz’ keeps himself focused on the ultimate goal of winning.
