Previously, Costa did make a video talking about what had happened but it was in Portuguese for the Brazilian people. In order to give closure to the fight fans worldwide, Costa decided to make a video in English. The fighter posted that video on Twitter for the fans and followers to see.

He said :

“I’m here just to say for everyone, that never happened and I will show you guys why. I have a proof of that.” Costa then went on to show the pictures taken by the police of the victim’s mouth. Later Costa continued by explaining that he doesn’t support violence against women. However, he wants the he woman to take the responsibility for this false accusation and issue a public apology.

Any form of violence against women is unacceptable. As a result of misleading imputations simply serve to discredit and hide the actual battle against women’s violence. We know this kind of false allegation is very serious. So I really hope this woman decides to make her public apologies or else legal actions may be necessary, unfortunately,” said Costa.

The investigation is still going on and there have not been any strong decisions regarding the incident. But if what Costa is saying is true then the nurse might have to take the blame and apologise for making such accusations which could potentially affect Costa’s career.
