Paul Costa responds to Jake Paul
The co-main event of UFC 278 saw UFC Middleweight Paulo Costa and Luke Rockhold engage in a fierce battle. Although, Costa won the fight and a lot of fans loved the fight and got to witness Rockhold for the last time in the octagon. The former YouTube star, Jake Paul wasn’t impressed by their performance.
The Borrachinha was coming off a two-fight losing streak after his undefeated streak was shattered by the Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya at UFC 253. After the Brazilian was paired with the former champion at UFC 278 many were expecting to see a quick knockout of the former champion.
However, even after a three-year break from the sport, the former two-time UFC champion fought his heart out in the co-main event. Rockhold was knocked out very viciously in his last outing against Jan Blachowicz and isn’t known for his chin. He proved the doubters wrong going through three gruelling rounds with the Brazilian.
Although, unlike the masses, the YouTuber turned boxer Jake wasn’t impressed by the fight. He claimed that Costa’s fight with Rockhold was a “glorified” street fight. Adding that both of these are easy money fights for him.

Following the fight, the YouTuber turned Boxer took to Twitter to give his reaction to the fight tweeting, “Bruhhhh lol Rockcock vs Paulo is embarrassing This a glorified street fight Both ez money. #UFC278.”
After the win in the co-main, during the UFC 278 post-fight press conference, The Brazilian responded to Paul’s comments and expressed doubt that the YouTuber wants any part of him. When asked about his response to the former YouTuber’s comment, Costa confused with the comment asks, “Was it like a street fight?”
“Okay, so if this is the last one, Jake Paul is very welcome to send an offer or contract. We can do this boxing fight, but I don’t know if he wants this blood. I think he wants to fight wrestlers or something like that.” the Brazilian added.
The fight at UFC 278 was the last fight on the Brazilian’s contract with the UFC. He has not yet re-signed with the promotion and is a free agent as of now.
