Paulo Costa is undoubtedly one of the best MMA accounts. The Brazilian middleweight is nonstop with his troll tweets.
Nobody is safe from Paulo Costa. Not even the sport’s biggest superstar, Conor McGregor. The Brazilian middleweight is one of the most active fighters on Twitter. He is so active that people tend to forget that he is one of the top contenders in the middleweight division and a former title contender. Costa’s English has vastly improved which only means that he gets more expressive with his tweets.
Costa has always been a troll in the UFC. From explaining to the fans that he was “too drunk” leading into the Israel Adesanya fight, where he got knocked out to making a joke out of the weight system in his fight against Marvin Vettori. Paulo has never failed to make MMA fans laugh. In one of his recent troll tweets, Costa hit out at Conor McGregor in a hilarious edited meme.
“If this mythological fighter do a t bag everything is over,” wrote Costa in the caption as he photoshopped Conor with the hair of Sugar Sean O’Malley. Costa’s caption is a reference to Paddy Pimblett’s recent celebration after his win against Jordan Leavitt at UFC London.

When is Paulo Costa going to fight again?
Paulo has been out for quite some time now. His last fight was against Marvin Vettori in October 2021. The fight took initially was booked at middleweight then was shifted to light heavyweight after Costa couldn’t make weight. Costa lost the bout via unanimous decision giving him the second loss of his career. Paulo was coming off a long layoff after his title fight defeat to Israel Adesanya.
The one-time middleweight contender has been booked to fight the former middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold in a three-round fight at UFC 278. The fight was initially booked for UFC 277 but had to be postponed due to Rockhold’s injury. Paulo is really looking to add a big name to his resume. The fighter still is only 31 years and has a record of 13-2 in his MMA career. This is Rockhold’s first fight since 2019 and it will be interesting to see how the former champ deals with “The Eraser”.
