USADA has finally bowed out of the game in 2024. The aftermath remains too quick to judge. Many fans believe that fighters might use banned substances in the absence of USADA. As such, the latest image of Israel Adesanya made rounds on social media.
Last year, USADA CEO Travis Tygart sprung Conor McGregor’s case to justify their separation policy. With USADA out of the picture, Adesanya’s image of having bulked-up biceps made fans think about using banned substances. Some fans theorized that Adesanya started juicing in the absence of USADA. A fan commented, “He looked juiced and beefy.”
Adesanya has not fought since his UFC 293 title loss. The fighter talked about a self-imposed hiatus after being one of the most active fighters in the UFC. He had 4 title fights in the span of 14 months. The fighter has had a strict go with USADA and even was one of the UFC fighters tested most by USADA in 2022.
Even during the hiatus, Adesanya continues to attract headlines. Fans had a fun banter trolling Adesanya and making up conspiracy theories that Adesanya was taking steroids. Adesanya might sit out 2024 and return in 2025 rather than his prediction of a 2027 return.
Fans react to Israel Adesanya’s new post-USADA photo
The latest image of Israel Adesanya sparked juicing accusations on social media. The fans couldn’t help but make theories about the biceps of the former champion. The camera angle of the picture could be at fault for the bulky biceps. However, fans dismissed it and started cooking up juicing accusations.
Check out some of the fan reactions:
A handful of fans talked about the angles involved in taking the picture. They felt haters wanted to push agendas rather than address the angles involved in taking images. Others commented that more fighters will start juicing since the USADA was no longer involved in the drug testing process.
