Former US President Donald Trump has been in the news for multiple bad reasons. His recent one is conspiring to overturn the result of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. Trump was booked at Atlanta’s Fulton County jail for this misconduct on August 24. A mugshot of Trump went viral after the former US president posted the picture on X. UFC talent Marvin Vettori surely was not happy about the entire incident.
This post got many responses from fans and supporters, one of whom was Italian UFC star Marvin Vettori. Trump has been accused of colluding with 18 other defendants to overturn the 2020 election result. This accusation has put the former president in trouble.
The 77-year-old’s criminal mugshot was released from the Atlanta Jail, where he reportedly spent around 20 minutes inside. The picture was released on Trump’s X account. The former president posted the mugshot with the caption, “ELECTION INTERFERENCE! NEVER SURRENDER!“. Meanwhile, Vettori retweeted the picture, captioning it, “Free the GOAT.”
Donald Trump’s involvement in the UFC has earned him a good relationship with many elite fighters. These fighters have, on multiple occasions, shown support for the former president. The No. 4 ranked middleweight contender, Vettori, came to his support. Vettori’s most recent fight came against Jared Cannonier, which resulted in a loss for the Italian fighter.
Additionally, no recent speculated matchups have arisen for Vettori, as his plans with the UFC for his further fights are still in motion. Despite the inactivity, the Italian star didn’t turn his back on showing support for the 77-year-old former president in his difficult times.
