Khamzat Chimaev considers himself the new iPhone and labels Kamaru Usman as the old version of the iPhone. After Kamaru Usman replaced Paulo Costa in the co-main event of UFC 294, fight fans expect a massive clash. While Costa vs. Chimaev was a grudge fight, fans find this match-up more attractive due to its potential to become an instant classic.

During a recent press conference, Chimaev was asked about what he thought of the response the fight is getting. Chimaev agreed to the hype and said, “Yeah, of course, because since day one, when I get to the UFC, everyone spoke about Khamzat Usman, Khamzat Usman, our wrestling skills, our striking, all of these things, you know. Usman is like a fighter like me. But, he’s old version, I’m new, you know. He’s like different — you know, like iPhones come out, he’s like iPhone 5, and I’m like the Pro. It’s different, so, yeah.”

The fighter mentioned that fans were expecting him to fight Usman for the title since he joined the UFC. Even though Usman isn’t the champion anymore, the fight is a treat for any MMA fan.

According to the ‘Borz’, Usman and him are very similar fighters with a combination of wrestling and striking. However, Chimaev claimed that he’s just a better version of the new iPhone, whereas Usman is iPhone 5.
