“Stop living in fantasy” – Rafael Fiziev trashes Conor McGregor for mocking his signature “Matrix” move
Rafael Fiziev claps back at Conor McGregor on Twitter
Conor McGregor seems to have ended his social media break and is back to being ‘Notorious’ on the social media platform. UFC rising lightweight Rafael Fiziev is the new fighter to fall victim to one of the Irishman’s tweets. However, the UFC lightweight is not too happy about the superstar talking ill about his fighting technique.
Rafael Fiziev is one of the most exciting lightweights the UFC has currently. The fighter has always managed to get the audience to the edge of their seats with his very engaging fighting style. The Kyrgyzstani fighter is known very famously around the fight world for his “Matrix” move inside the octagon. Unlike other fighters who use their arms to defend a roundhouse kick being thrown at them, Fiziev goes full matrix and ducks the kick by showing off his flexibility.
Recently, the fighter was praised for his creative technique and Conor McGregor revealed how he would tackle a fighter with a technique like this inside the octagon. According to McGregor when Fiziev does his “Matrix” move, all one would have to do is turn their roundhouse kick into an axe kick. Fiziev, who takes pride in his technique was not too happy when McGregor claimed there were flaws in them.

Rafael Fiziev invites Conor McGregor over to his gym
“Conor, I invite you to @tigermuaythai where we can show you how to kick and defend the kicks properly so you can stop living in fantasy world where you think it’s possible to land an axe kick in this situation,” wrote Fiziev in reply to Conor’s critique of his fighting technique.
Rafael is one of the new generations of lightweights that are expected to take over the 155 division in the upcoming years in the UFC. The fans and many analysts have high hopes for Fiziev’s future in the division and believe he could be a champion one day. The fighter is currently 11-1 in his professional career as a mixed martial artist. He takes on a huge challenge against the former lightweight champion, Rafael Dos Anjos this weekend.
The #10 ranked would surely not mind a fight against a superstar like McGregor. However, this fight is very unlikely to happen. Conor has been sidelined by an injury that he suffered by throwing a kick at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier. After his speedy recovery, McGregor is expected to return to the octagon this year in a blockbuster fight.
