Drake likes to bet money on Israel Adesanya and this time it’s no different. Ahead of UFC 293 in Australia, Drake demonstrated his interest in high-stakes betting by revealing a staggering $500,000 wager on Israel Adesanya, the UFC middleweight champion, to win by knockout against Sean Strickland in the main event on Saturday.
In a consistent trend, Drake has once again shown his unwavering support for Adesanya, backing the fighter with significant wagers for the second time in succession. This pattern began when he placed a huge bet on Adesanya in the lead-up to the rematch with Alex Pereira at UFC 287 in April. Demonstrating his confidence in Adesanya’s abilities, the Canadian rapper placed his latest bet of $500,000 on the UFC middleweight champion to secure a knockout victory against Sean Strickland in the main event. If Izzy wins the fight, the Canadian rapper will receive a $920,000 payout.
The fighter shared a post in which he detailed his bet and in the comments, Izzy wrote, “Dialed in.” Izzy, despite all the pressure as usual, isn’t unfazed at all, and going into the fight he’s confident about his win. Drake, like every other UFC fan, will be eagerly waiting for the title fight this weekend.

He said, “I went to OVO Fest right, at the party, at the estate, the embassy. I don’t follow basketball, so there’s all these big-time basketball players that was there. That was the place I met LeBron and I saw Draymond [Green] in the corner in his seat… I think his name is YK Osiris, he was like, ‘Yo, Drake bringing like 400 bit*hes to the house.’… They meet at a parking lot, they park there and then they get in the busses and the busses drive to the estate or the embassy… LeBron was cool ’cause he didn’t have to say what’s up but he saw me, pulled up and we talked for like a minute.”
Drake has been a fan of Izzy for a long time and it is not surprising for him to call Izzy at such a party filled with Hollywood stars and legends of sports. Among all the parties Adesanya has attended, this might be one of those he will never forget.
