REPORT: Henry Cejudo submitted 2 samples for USADA testing in 2022 for comeback fight

Combat sports legend Henry Cejudo is adamant about coming back inside the UFC octagon for the legacy and eventually finding his way to become the first UFC fighter to become champion in 3 weight classes. Cejudo is returning to fight with him being likely to first fight for the bantamweight title against Aljamain Sterling, a belt he has won before, followed by moving up in weight class and eventually challenging Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title, a division he has never swam in the pools of before.

If successful, Cejudo will then be known to have been the champion of flyweight, bantamweight and featherweight in the history of mixed martial arts. Cejudo has denied coming down to flyweight anymore in his future back as an active fighter. Cejudo retired from the sport back in April 2020 after his last fight against Dominick Cruz against whom Cejudo scored a knockout victory and became the first person to knock Cruz out.

Sports journalist Aaron Bronsteter from The Sports Network reported via Twitter Henry Cejudo has been re-added to the USADA testing pool and has submitted two samples thus far in Q2 of 2022 according to the USADA Athlete Test History.

Cejudo entered the USADA testing pool early last year and substantiated it with a couple of messages that he shared on his Twitter account. Besides that, Cejudo also talked about getting back into the testing on his podcast Triple C & the Schmo Show. Besides returning as an athlete, Cejudo was already a successful coach training the like of former world champions like Jon Jones and Zhang Weili and current champions like Deiveson Figueiredo.
