Robert Whittaker put on an absolute clinic against Marvin Vettori. The former champion made the top middleweight contender look like a walk in the park as he cruised past The Italian Dream to tick yet another impressive victory on his record.

UFC went to France for the first time and hosted an amazing card for Paris fans. The fights took place at the Accor Arena in Paris and the event was headlined by the heavyweight fight between Tai Tuivasa and Ciryl Gane. Before the heavyweights went at each other in the octagon, Robert Whittaker was an absolute treat to watch for fans in the arena and also around the world.

Whittaker has continuously gone to prove why he belongs in the creme de la creme of the middleweight division. Earlier today he fought former title contender Marvin Vettori and made it look very easy. Whittaker was barely in any danger throughout the three rounds while he humbled his opponent for three rounds after Marvin’s antics in the lead-up to the fight.

After his amazing win, Robert spoke to McKenzie Pavacich from UFC and spoke about the success he found inside the octagon at UFC Paris. After his fight, Robert said in the post-fight interview that he makes people in his division hate fighting. While talking about his fight against Marvin, Robert believes the Italian had lost all hopes after the second round.

“Yeah, in that second round, I took his spirit,” said Whittaker. “You can see that. You can see that I had complete control of the fight. And you can see it in a lot of the fights that I have. People just want to get out of there. I hit too hard and I’m too fast. I hurt them,” added Whittaker.

Robert has only one aim in his mind and it is to become the champion again. He lost his belt in the year 2019 and has had another chance to reclaim the title against Israel Adesanya but failed to do so earlier this year. Whittaker says he will still be lurking around that number one contender spot and won’t give soon.
