Robert Whittaker has not fought since his dominant decision victory over Marvin Vettori last year. However, he has remained active as a UFC analyst for Fox Sports Australia alongside Alexander Volkanovksi where the duo breaks down fights for the Australian audience. After Israel Adesanya retained the Middleweight title, he came on the Submission radio podcast to talk about his future. Whittaker reacted to how Adesanya got revenge against Alex Pereira’s kid.
Robert Whittaker said, “Mate, you don’t get revenge on a five-year old. Israel has this black book where anybody that crosses him, he puts their name, doesn’t matter if it’s a five year old. That seems like a lot of investment.” Whittaker alluded that Israel Adesanya is petty and should not have exacted revenge on children. Personal rivalry among fighters should not involve family members or children.
Whittaker is out of options after Adesanya retained the title. He has already lost twice to Adesanya, and for now, The Last Stylebender is looking for fresh contenders. Coach of Adesanya, Eugene Bareman, said that they would like to fight Whittaker in the future, but for now, he would like to see Adesanya challenge Light Heavyweight Champion Jamahal Hill for the next fight.
Robert Whittaker has only lost Israel Adesanya since moving to the Middleweight division. Since moving up from the Welterweight division, he has gone 12-2 at 185 pounds division. Fight fans look forward to the future of the Middleweight division on who will challenge Adesanya next. Whittaker will likely compete against another contender in the division before again challenging for the title.
Robert Whittaker denies Khamzat Chimaev fight offer

Middleweights have a new target in Chimaev after the Borz decided to move up to the 185 pounds division permanently. With plenty of fresh matchups available, Khamzat Chimaev said that Whittaker has not accepted to fight. However, Whittaker revealed that he was never offered the fight.
He said, “Someone said that Khamzat Chimaev said that they offered me a fight and that I turned it down. I was never offered a fight with Chimaev and that’s that. I haven’t been offered any fight. I’ve been just waiting.”
Recent report suggest that Dana White and the UFC look forward to booking Chimaev vs Paulo Costa for the Abu Dhabi PPV card. Chimaev can likely get the next title shot with a win over Paulo Costa.
