Robert Whittaker once again proves he is one of the nicest guys in the middleweight divisions as he motivates Sean Strickland, coming after a devastating loss against Alex Pereira at UFC 276.

It is never easy to overcome a devastating loss like Sean Strickland suffered against Alex Pereira. However, it is comforting when peers like Robert Whittaker comfort you by giving motivation. Strickland is very lucky in that way as he received a lot of support from the fans and his colleagues after a brutal loss at UFC 276.

Strickland was supposed to be the big test for newcomer Alex Pereira as he looked to burst through the middleweight rankings. Pereira was pushed by the promotion with a short route to meet the champion Israel Adesanya in a title bout given their past rivalry would make for a good storyline. #4 Strickland was very open to fighting the unranked Pereira even though it meant for the “Tarzan” to give up his ranking.

In a recent Instagram post after his loss, Strickland wrote, “Fights in the review mirror till I see me on highlight reel! Lmao! Just wanna give a big shout out to the fans. MMA is the best sport in the world with the best and worse fans lol. Thanks!”

In response to Strickland’s post, a lot of fighters provided support to the fighter and Whittaker too did the same. The former middleweight contender has been through a lot of ups and downs in his career as a UFC fighter. Whittaker wrote, “Just got caught, who cares keep doing you bro.”

Robert is coming off a loss to the champion Israel Adesanya in a rematch earlier this year. The fighter has been trying his best to retain his title as the middleweight king but has failed to beat Izzy twice. Strickland on the other hand was undefeated as a middleweight fighter until he met Alex and his killer of a left hand in the first round of the fight at UFC 276. Do you think Strickland and Robert would make a good matchup?
