Robert Whittaker thinks Alex Pereira can deal more damage to Israel Adesanya in comparison to the Aussie might have done in the past. Robert Whittaker, who lost his last title fight against Israel Adesanya will be back in action this weekend.

Whittaker will take on Marvin Vettori who is coming into the fight after a win against Paulo Costa. ‘The Italian Dream’ is the #2 fighters in the division and wants to get his revenge on Izzy for the loss at UFC 243.

“That’s an interesting fight. I do think it’s gonna be a kickboxing fight with small gloves,” said Whittaker. “You have gotta a rangy tall defensive striker versus a rangy tall offensive striker. It’s gonna be interesting, he’s very tall. He’s gonna have advantages in the striking department that myself did not have because just the distance he can reach.” Whittaker explained that the small gloves this time will make a lot of difference given that Izzy and Pereira have fought each other twice already.

“The small gloves is going to be a big variable compared to the first two fights they had against each other.” Said Whittaker.

The winner of Whittaker vs Vettori might get the winner of Izzy vs Pereira and the Aussie must be eyeing over that opportunity. These upcoming fights have the potential to change the whole scenario of the middleweights division and the fans are definitely up for experiencing it.
