Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey shocked everyone when she retired indefinitely from the sport of MMA. She had risen to superstar status quickly and won the championship. Rousey dated heavyweight contender Brendan Schaub for a short while in 2014. Schaub recently spoke about how much the UFC offered to return to the company.

Schaub is now a regular in the podcasting world and spoke about Rousey on his “Thiccc Boy” podcast. He was asked about UFC President Dana White and if he ever lied about any fighters returning. Schaub replied, “I have on good authority, they offered Ronda Rousey more money than god. But she was like I am good”. He spoke on White’s claims that there was “no-shot” for her to return.

Schaub said he doesn’t know if White offered the deal. He revealed that she had many businesses and properties and had financial stability. Rousey retired after her loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207. After she retired from MMA, Rousey tried her hand at professional wrestling and earned herself championship status in the WWE as well.

Schaub and Rousey dated for a short time in 2014. They met in the UFC through common acquaintances and dated for around six months. They ended their relationship calmly and have remained friends. In a recent podcast episode, Schaub spoke about his relationship with Rousey.

When asked about his relationship with Sean Strickland, Schaub revealed a story of him and Rousey in the gym. He praised Rousey’s skillset and strenght. Schaub said that when Rousey was rising through the ranks, she beat up men during her training sessions as well.

Rousey was very focused on becoming an undisputed champion and had a terrifying demeanor in the Octagon. It is unclear why Schaub and Rousey broke up, but it seems that they parted ways on good terms. They are both successful in their careers and seem happy with their current lives.
