“Probably f**ks Paddy up,” Sean O’Malley believes Paddy Pimblett would lose in a boxing match against Jake Paul

Suga Sean believes Jake Paul would beat Paddy Pimblett in a boxing match

Sean O’Malley is one of the UFC’s best strikers at the moment. He proved his mettle against the former champion, Petr Yan at UFC 280 when he beat him in what was a controversial decision victory.

It’s safe to assume that Suga Sean knows what he’s talking about when it comes to striking. And in his opinion, Paddy Pimblett would not fare well in a fight against undefeated celebrity boxer, Jake Paul. Talking about it in his YouTube video, he said, “Jake’s a lot bigger than Paddy. Lot better, cleaner boxer. Jake probably f**ks Paddy up in a boxing match. Especially after watching that [Paddy vs Gordon at UFC 282].”

However, Suga Sean also defended Paddy’s performance against Gordon. He explained that dealing with a leg injury during a fight really affects a fighter’s performance in ways most people just do not get. That being said, O’Malley still believes that Paddy the Baddy does not win a fight against Jake Paul.

The Problem Child has been legitimizing himself recently. He holds impressive victories over Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren, and Nate Robinson. Most recently, he won against Anderson Silva after knocking down the legendary Brazilian striker. Paul also called out Paddy to a sparring session and offered him a million dollars if he won. However, Pimblett, who had a fight that weekend had to decline the offer.

The fight between Paddy Pimblett and Jared Gordon caused quite a controversy after the decision was announced. Paddy The Baddy was given the nod over Gordon. The judges’ scorecards are all 29-28 in favor of the Scouser. And on the Bromalley podcast, Suga Sean O’Malley revealed that he believed that the judges had gotten it wrong.

O’Malley said, “There was not one single person in that place that thought Paddy won…All I rememer is him [Paddy] getting hit with left hooks, getting hit with left hooks, getting hit with left hooks. And then getting pushed up against the fence. When you’re up against the fence or on your back, you’re not winning.”

Suga Sean, however, believes that this was an error in judgment. He is of the notion that the UFC needs to overhaul the way fights are judged.

According to O’Malley, having 5 judges scoring the fight would result in fights being scored correctly and would also eliminate the occurrence of more controversial decisions. Suga Sean also thinks the UFC should actively be looking to hire judges that are of a better caliber than the ones they currently employ.
