UFC 299 is one of the most anticipated fight cards this year and features many big names. As such, many expected the press conference to deliver something magical. The main event rivals Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera took center stage in the press conference. As such, the bantamweight champion lashed out at contenders Vera, Merab Dvalishvili, and Petr Yan.

With existing criticism about O’Malley’s path to the title, the controversial decision to Yan, and the avoidance of Dvalishvili as a title challenger, ‘Suga’ faced a lot of heat. As such, Sean O’Malley vented out his animosity towards his rivals Petr Yan, Marlon Vera, and Merab Dvalishvili all at once. Here is what he said:

Sean O’Malley mocked Yan for his three-fight losing streak, insinuating he would leave for bare-knuckle boxing with more loss. Then, he turned his focus to the hottest 135lbs contender, Merab Dvalishvili. With a 10-fight win streak on Dvalishvili’s side, the champion couldn’t make fun of his losing streak and resorted to mocking his appearance. ‘The Machine’ will weigh in as the backup for the bantamweight championship.

With Marlon Vera and Petr Yan on the same stage, the situation was tense at the UFC 299 press conference. However, the crowd acknowledged the trash talk from O’Malley even though they booed him for the most part. Since the talking was all done, now it is time for action. As such, Sean O’Malley faces ‘Chito’ in the main event of UFC 299, while Petr Yan faces Song Yadong in the main card opener.

Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera face a heated battle at UFC 299 in Miami this weekend. With the history between them, the fighters boiled in bad blood. As such, the fans had high expectations for this fight. While ‘Suga’ was arguably the megastar, the Miami crowd booed him, all the while cheering for Vera.

At the UFC 299 Pre-fight press conferences, Sean O’Malley predicted he would knock out Marlon Vera. This statement from the bantamweight champion didn’t sit well with the Miami crowd. As such, they brutally booed him and started chanting ‘Chito…Chito...’ in support of Vera.

O’Malley was shocked by the crowd response. As such, he waited a while before answering a question about a potential trilogy bout with Vera.

Sean O’Malley remains highly confident coming off a spectacular knockout win over Aljamain Sterling. However, Marlon Vera dismissed his confidence, stating he was a better striker than Sterling. Also, with Vera handing ‘Suga’ his only loss, he looked affirmative of beating him again. As such, this fight goes down this weekend at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
