For some time now, Sean O’Malley has been speaking out against MMA managers. Since July of last year, the “Sugar” himself, who handles his own affairs, has accused managers of snatching a significant portion of fighters’ earnings without deserving it.

O’Malley has recently warned about a major revelation concerning MMA management, although he hasn’t disclosed any specific names yet. In a recent conversation with TSN, O’Malley shared his intention to involve legal experts to address this matter.

“I’m waiting to release it the right way. It will be … I think it’ll be a big deal, it’ll be massive, and it will hurt someone’s business and rightfully so. So I’m gonna put it out there the right way. I gotta talk to my legal team and make sure we’re doing everything right. But yeah, MMA managers are so bad. It’s horrible, it’s embarrassing; they’re stealing money from fighters; they’re taking percentages of [their] bonuses. That really p***es me off, to be honest.” said O’Malley.

As per O’Malley, MMA managers serve little purpose and are simply seizing an inequitable portion of fighters’ earnings. O’Malley has conveyed his strong dissatisfaction with this situation and is determined to take action against it. He’s determined to make a change and bring about fairness in the industry.

The bantamweight title fight between Sean O’Malley and Aljamain Sterling is presently scheduled to take place at UFC 292. O’Malley is seeking to win UFC gold for the first time in this fight, while Sterling wants to make it four straight title defenses at 135 pounds.

Sean O’Malley said he believes Aljamain Sterling is anxious before their bout and is probably feeling the strain because he still has a lot of weight to cut. He said: “I just let him know. I said, ‘Hey champ you look a little nervous’ when I saw him on the TV… Just being honest, you know, this moment might be getting to him a little bit. What was that, 14 or 13 days out from the weigh-ins. I’m sure he’s still got a lot of weight to cut. He’s dealing with these ‘injuries’ so I thought he looked a little nervous and I thought I’d let him know. And I did.”
