“Suga” Sean O’Malley became victorious over Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292. Sterling is the most accomplished bantamweight champion in UFC history. O’Malley knocked out Sterling at the beginning of the second round. He will forever enjoy the moment of winning his first world title.
The UFC uploaded the fight between Sean O’Malley and Aljamain Sterling moments after the bout ended. This remains proof enough of what the UFC thought of the Montana native. O’Malley is indeed the next cash cow for Dana White and the UFC. O’Malley recently posted a spoof video of calling Dana White with Dollar bundles instead of a mobile phone. In the post, O’Malley insinuated that his next fight will happen in Las Vegas in December. X handle Tokeswitch commented below the post, “Dana’s new Cash Cow, now that Conor can put out to pasture…”
Some fans allegedly claimed that Sean O’Malley’s triumph at UFC 292 was what the UFC wanted. Aljamain Sterling was a big favorite going into the fight and only a few picked O’Malley to win. With the win, the promotion now has a fighter with a belt and notoriety amongst the casual fans. The Bostonians at UFC 292 were all pro-O’Malley. Dana White himself was in awe of the variety of “Suga” merchandise he saw fans wear on Fight Week.
O’Malley would likely face Marlon Vera in December of 2023 for his first title defense. Vera is the only fighter who holds a victory over O’Malley in professional MMA. O’Malley is dubbed the next Conor McGregor by none other than Teddy Atlas.
Fans react to social media post of Sean O’Malley being the next cash cow for UFC
