“It’s the biggest fight” – Sean O’Malley names this undefeated boxing legend as his dream matchup
Sean O'Malley
Suga Sean O’Malley is one of the best strikers in the UFC. He first showcased his insane striking on Dana White’s Contender Series which helped him gain a UFC contract. He has since racked up win after win in dominant displays of striking. His most recent win was just more proof of the same.
He beat another top striker and all-around elite MMA fighter, the #1 ranked Bantamweight contender Petr Yan, at UFC 280. In fact, Suga Sean O’Malley has made some rather bold claims about his boxing ability. And in an interview with ESPN MMA, Suga Sean revealed that he was a big fan of Floyd Mayweather’s exhibition matches.
He also revealed that his dream exhibition boxing match would be boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather Jr., who recently beat KSI’s brother Deji Olatunji in an exhibition match. “Floyd “Money” Mayweather, 100%. It’s the biggest fight, it’s Floyd. I love what Floyd’s doing. I think it’s so funny that he’s going out there and beating up these YouTubers. I think it’s hilarious. I guess it’s not just Youtubers, he boxed a couple of kickboxers and stuff. I love what Floyd’s doing,” said Suga Sean O’Malley as he talked about his interest in these exhibition matches.
A match between Floyd and Suga Sean would definitely bring in a lot of money and eyeballs. Floyd is a bonafide boxing legend who is undefeated and is still an amazing athlete at 45 years old. On the other hand, Suga Sean O’Malley is one of the UFC’s biggest stars currently and would greatly benefit from fighting someone like Floyd, regardless of the outcome.
Suga Sean O’Malley says Dillon Danis may pull out of the KSI fight
Dillon Danis and KSI came to blows at the Misfits Boxing X DAZN event’s weigh-ins on Friday. They then announced a boxing match for January 14th. Danis also caused another scuffle at the event itself when he threw a reporter’s phone away. However, he received his comeuppance a day before after the altercation with KSI as he was punched by Jake Paul’s sparring partner, Anthony Taylor.
Referencing this in the same interview, Suga Sean said that he felt as if Conor McGregor’s friend would most likely pull out of the fight. Suga Sean said, “I know KSI and Dillon Danis are going. The chances of Dillon Danis pulling out are 98%. He’s probably gonna be concussed from the last right hand he ate on the street.” It seems Suga Sean doesn’t believe Danis will show up to the fight on January 14th.
He also revealed that he was a fan of another man that Danis had rubbed the wrong way, Nate Diaz. He said “I’ll watch whatever Nate does next. Nate wants to box, he wants to go fishing on PPV, I’ll watch. Nate’s a character.” Diaz, who also went at it with Danis and his entourage seems to have found himself a fan in Suga Sean O’Malley.
