O’Malley felt confident in his ability and believes that he can knock out Davis and wanted to prove the fans wrong. When asked about his future plans he said, “I also wouldn’t mind knocking out Gervonta Davis. I know people are gonna be like Oh I wanna be Conor(McGregor). O’Malley knows that he will be compared to Conor McGregor who fought Floyd Mayweather in a super fight in 2018. O’Malley has been compared to McGregor multiple times in the past with his knockout over Sterling being similar to McGregor’s knockout over Jose Aldo. He also has Irish roots from his grandmother. O’Malley has also done the “billy strut” multiple times which is a trademark of the Irishman.
