Sean O’Malley has just won the bantamweight title from Aljamain Sterling. The UFC 292 saw Suga Sean defeat the defending champion in the second round itself. O’Malley’s power and precision were clearly too much for the Funkmaster. Now that O’Malley is on top, he faces immense threats from all sides. The bantamweight division is truly one of the most competitive divisions in the UFC. From all fighters present, O’Malley only has eyes for Marlon Chito Vera.

Right after his win over Sterling, O’Malley called out Vera for a rematch. Vera is the only fighter to defeat O’Malley in his MMA career. In the co-main event of UFC 252, Vera was able to get the win over Suga Sean by TKO. He is a well-seasoned fighter with wins against legends like Jose Aldo, Frankie Edgar, and Dominick Cruz. Vera currently ranks 6th in the division.

Aside from his call-out against Vera, the division is loaded with potential challengers. Talents like Merab Dvalishvili, Henry Cejudo, and Cory Sandhagen are all waiting for a shot at the title.
