“Youtube’s a better platform,” Sean O’Malley talks about permanently quitting streaming on Twitch

Sean O’Malley has officially bid farewell to the platform that gave him the additional fame outside of fighting. O’Malley is looking forward to his career with the biggest opportunity come UFC 280 on October 22, 2022 in Abu Dhabi when he will face former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan. O’Malley last fought this month at UFC 276 when his fight ended in a no-contest due to accidental eye poke as received by his then opponent Pedro Munhoz.
O’Malley is 15-1 with a no contest in his overall MMA career and is 8-1 with a no contest in the UFC, 6 of those 8 wins by the way of knockouts. O’Malley is one of the most recognizable faces of the UFC today, coupled with his exciting fighting style that assures spectacular knockouts, O’Malley has an extravagant way of living with his video game streaming, partying and hanging out with famous public figures like the Nelk Boys and Tekashi 6ix9ine.

In an interview with Ariel Helani at the MMA Hour, O’Malley talks about Nate Diaz vs Khamzat Chimaev fight announcement, his fight with Yan, combat sports legend Henry Cejudo’s comeback and much more. In the midst of all while adjusting his camera, O’Malley announces that he has quit streaming on Twitch, a platform where O’Malley was worked a lot on developing his channel to a success in order to have a pretty lucrative way of monetising his personal branding.
“Youtube’s a better platform,” says O’Malley “At the end of the day I just really like YouTube and it makes more sense to stream… you can make more money… you know YouTube is an already established platform for me, I already have 420k subscribers so there’s more eyes,” O’Malley concludes
