“That’s nasty and how you get staph infection” – Sean O’Malley’s admission to partying with fight gear and blood in Miami club leaves fans disgusted

Sean O’Malley recently won against Marlon Vera at UFC 299 via unanimous decision. He put on a striking clinic to secure the victory comfortably. With this win, he successfully defended his bantamweight title for the first time. As such, he directly went to the club to celebrate his win.

In a recent appearance on the MMA Hour Show, Sean O’Malley detailed his after-the-fight experience. He stated after a few post-fight obligations, he straight away took off to a club to party. He went to a Miami club named ‘E11even’ and mentioned it was mind-blowing to see people enjoy their night. As such, he revealed he was still in his fight gear and had not showered after the fight.

I went straight to the club after all the interviews and stuff. I had blood all over me, rocking my pink shorts. We went to the ‘E11even’, the club in Miami. I didn’t want to go shower up, get dressed up, and then go to the club and it’s fu****g 5am.

While many fighters shower and rest up before celebrating their win, O’Malley had other ideas. He wanted to party and feed off the energy. As such, he didn’t worry too much about not having a shower or feeling gross. Earlier, when ‘Suga’ won the bantamweight title, he enjoyed a party alongside Kyle Forgeard, one of the NELK boys. This time, he enjoyed some time with the controversial streamer, Adin Ross.

O’Malley not only defended his title at UFC 299, but he also avenged his only professional loss in his MMA career. As such, he aimed at further glory and called out the featherweight champion Ilia Topuria to set a cham-champ matchup. But, he was also open to the matchup with the #1 bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishvili.

Sean O’Malley dominated Marlon Vera at UFC 299 to secure his first title defense. As such, he headed to a club to party and celebrate. It was just like any other UFC champion who won a fight. However, ‘Suga’ jumped over the customs of showering and getting dressed and went to the club in his fight gear. Shockingly, he admitted to not even taking a shower and feeling a bit gross.

This revelation from Sean O’Malley garnered a lot of reactions from the fight fans. As such, here are some interesting ones:

Fight fans weren’t welcoming of O’Malley’s act. While many called it disgusting and gross, some were concerned for his health. Mainly, they pointed out the fact he could contract staph or other infections as a result of not showering. However, a few rolled with the bantamweight champion and enjoyed it as part of his antics.
