Sean Strickland is infamous for his controversial opinions and during his recent Joe Rogan podcast, the fighter had various moments like this. During one conversation, Strickland mentioned not wanting to raise a gay child.
“If I had a kid and I thought he’s gay, I would do everything I can to make this kid not f**king gay. I might even take him to therapy. If he has a lisp and starts walking weird, I don’t want a gay as a kid,” said Strickland.
As expected this attracted a lot of criticism from fight fans who questioned the fighter’s parenting style. However, the ‘Tarzan’ didn’t faze away from his opinion and confirmed it again on his official Twitter account.
He wrote, “How is it controversial to say I don’t want my kid to be gay??? What parent wakes up and says “man I really hope my son is gay, grandkids are overrated” lmao!!!! But hey its 2023 maybe that’s the goal.. You’re extra special if your kids gay.. very modern woke.”
According to Strickland, he wouldn’t want his kid to be gay and that’s pretty normal for him. The fighter mocked modern people who would like to have gay children.
Sean Strickland talks about his UFC persona of being the ‘White Trash’
Sean Strickland has gained his following by unapologetically being himself and saying anything he wants. The fighter often gets into trouble for his opinions but it seems like nothing really matters to him. During his podcast with Joe Rogan, Strickland mentioned that he’s the white trash and the future of America.
He said: “I’m white trash like I like what I mean by that is like I am the future of America. Both my parents worked. My dad’s a piece of s—t but you know (he’s) in Hell probably right now. Both my parents worked. They made good money, but we were poor we were poor because after the cigarettes, the bars and the fast food we were f—king poor. (We’d) find a piece of regular paper and wrinkle it up and use that as toilet paper.”
While the podcast was quite controversial, it gathered a lot of attention from fight fans who turned in to see Strickland talk about his personality. No matter what others say, the fighter really knows how to market himself to the public.
