“Damage done to this kids brain…” Sean Strickland shares controversial opinion on Ryan Garcia’s recent erratic behavior on social media
Sean Strickland believes boxing from a young age has damaged Ryan Garcia's brain and caused his mental breakdown.

Ryan Garcia‘s erratic behavior and social media posts have caused quite a stir in the combat sports world. Furthermore, it even prompted Sean Strickland to troll Garcia’s mental breakdown and dismiss it. As such, Strickland stated bigger global issues were more serious than Garcia. This led to a back-and-forth between Garcia and Strickland, attacking each other on social media.
However, Strickland later expressed his concern for Ryan Garcia despite mocking him for struggling with his mental health. Furthermore, Strickland even tweeted about the importance of caring for your brain and mental health. After his reconciliation with Garcia, Strickland provided his opinion about Garcia’s erratic behavior. As such, this is what Strickland stated:

Most of the combat sports world believed Garcia’s erratic behavior happened because of drug use. However, Strickland provided his theory by digging up the fact that Garcia started boxing at 7. Strickland then suggested that the amount of damage done to Garcia’s brain from the age of 7 to 25 was detrimental. Some would consider this as a bit controversial.
Subsequently, Strickland spoke about boxing and announced that he loved the sport. As such, even though he loves the sport, Strickland considered children boxing at the age of seven as borderline child abuse. Hence, Strickland strongly believed that Garcia’s current erratic behavior was due to accumulated brain damage.

Strickland did not just theorize the reason for Garcia’s erratic behavior; he also gave him advice. Garcia has raised several concerns for his well-being after his concerning social media posts. Many people believed Garcia either had a mental breakdown or showed the side effects of drugs.
However, Strickland believed that Garcia’s erratic behavior was either because of CTE or drugs. Strickland theorized Garcia to have some sort of chemical imbalance inside his head. Subsequently, Strickland stated Ryan Garcia did not have anybody to bring him back and ground him. This is when Strickland again repeated the importance of caring for your brain. Times have changed in the combat sports world. With the advent of social media, athletes have sometimes become erratic on social media. The fans hope Garcia gets back to his best version and for the people around him to care for him. It is also sentiment that Strickland voiced out on social media.
