The beef between Sean Strickland and Jake Paul has been brewing for some time. Strickland recently claimed that the UFC told him Jake Paul is unable to sell pay-per-view fights. He said he asked UFC executives about boxing the YouTuber-turned-boxer, Paul. However, the UFC dismissed the idea, explaining that Paul does not generate revenue.

Specifically, Strickland quoted UFC executive, Hunter Campbell telling him that Paul sells no fights. Strickland said the UFC told him they give away tickets. Overall, Strickland was left a little depressed at the UFC’s negative outlook on a lucrative Paul matchup. This is what he said:

Hunter [Campbell] explained to me that [Jake Paul] sells no fights. When they have fights, they give away tickets. He doesn't make money. His target audience is children, they don't buy pay-per-views. So, a little depressing, because I thought to myself: 'I'll take a payday beating up this f****** man, that sounds easy enough.'

Strickland extended a sparring offer to Jake Paul. He invited Paul to fly to Las Vegas for presumably a sparring match. Strickland said the sparring match would be “for free,” as he does not need a check. The offer comes after Paul proposed a $1 million charity sparring match with Strickland on live stream.

Paul has not directly responded to Strickland’s offer yet. However, he changed his social media background image to a picture of Strickland getting knocked unconscious. Paul was potentially implying he would knock out Strickland in a fight. Fight fans will have to wait and see how this moves forward.

Jake Paul offers $1 million to Sean Strickland for a boxing match

YouTube personality and boxer, Jake Paul had recently offered UFC middleweight Sean Strickland $1 million for a boxing match. This follows a heated exchange between the two fighters on social media.

The feud began when Paul criticized footage showing Strickland violently battering internet streamer, Sneako in sparring. Paul accused Strickland of “bullying” Sneako despite the latter’s lack of experience. Strickland taunted Paul over his recent loss to Tommy Fury in response. He claimed Paul shouldn’t forget his defeat to a “part-time boxer.”

Subsequently, Paul extended a formal offer to Strickland for a sanctioned bout. He said he would fly Strickland to Puerto Rico where they could fight on camera. Paul promised to pay him $1 million as prize money if Strickland won. However, Strickland must get Paul’s betting company’s logo tattooed on himself if he wins. Strickland did not directly address the $1 million offer. Instead, he disturbingly proposed meeting Paul alone in the desert. He wanted no cameras present so he could violently “end” Paul’s life.
