This all started when fans resurfaced a video of Adesanya touching his dog’s genitals almost eight years ago. Strickland took advantage of that and started trolling Adesanya in the press conferences before their fight. Adesanya himself came out to snub the claims and promised to make Strickland pay for disrespecting his old dog that had passed on.

There is no doubt that Strickland’s trash-talk is highly entertaining in the eyes of the fans. He knows how to build up a fight and pull the crowd due to his controversial yet entertaining personality. Fans will look forward to seeing Strickland back in the octagon soon.

He recently spoke about how Adesanya spoke about his jokes about his dead dog and other trash-talk. Strickland said he was already not impressed with Adesanya’s performance and was confused during the confrontation. He revealed that he told his opponent this was not the correct place to discuss the topic.

However, Strickland did say that he could visibly see that Adesanya was affected by the trash talk. Many fighters in the UFC use trash-talk to get into their opponent’s head and mentally dismantle them. It remains to be seen if Adesanya gets back the title in the near future.
