Sean Strickland gets validation from Israel Adesanya's coach
Lately, Sean Strickland has come across as one of most outspoken individuals in the UFC roster. The fighter is honest with his opinions not necessarily being always right. Strickland doesn’t fear getting cancelled and says everything heart out.
This tendency has made him one of the most entertaining as well as controversial characters in UFC. However, Strickland was suspended from Twitter after he claimed transgender people have “mental retardation”. He wrote :
“I’m actually a fan of pride month..Big fan of the b in LGBT lmao!! Trans people though god I can’t fg stand trans people…has to be some form of mental retardation..”
Despite his antics outside, Strickland has been killing it inside the octagon. The fighter is currently on a six fight win streak and has his eyes set on the middleweight championship. It would be interesting to see how Strickland performs in his upcoming fights.
Sean Strickland comments on Israel Adesanya’s interest for anime
Strickland recently did an interview with popular MMA journalist ‘The Schmo‘ in which talked about his upcoming fight, training camp and potential fight with Adesanya.
While talking about Izzy, Strickland made fun of the champ’s obsession with Japanese anime. Strickland revealed that he likes Adesanya as a fighter but that anime thing bugs him. Strickland mocked Adesanya by saying he must have masturbated to cartoons. Strickland strongly held his claims that Adesanya has surely masturbated to cartoons in his lifetime.
“No man I like Izzy, besides the anime. He’s a tough mother, besides the anime. The guy probably js off to cartoons. I hold that against you, I guarantee you Izzy, you have j off to cartoons once in your life. Don’t f lie to me. That needs to be said.” Said Strickland.
Adesanya is a regular anime follower and doesn’t shy away from showing his obsession with anime to the world. For Adesanya, anime has given him motivation and inspiration to be the great fighter he is today. If Strickland wins his next fight against Alex Pereira at UFC 276, he might get a chance to fight Adesanya for the title. Nevertheless, it would be a great fight to watch for the fans.
