Sean Strickland officially met the former US President Donald Trump recently. Trump was in Las Vegas awaiting the result of the Nevada Republican caucus. During the time, he met Strickland, and the two had a brief conversation. Then, they went on to square up for a picture and shared a friendly face-off. The clip of the interaction went viral on social platforms. Now, Strickland took to X and expressed his thoughts on meeting the former President.

In the tweet, Sean Strickland praised Donald Trump highly. He insinuated that Trump celebrated America and its citizens. As such, he expressed extreme patriotism for America and went on to say a few words about the prevailing discrimination. Here is what Strickland said:

After 3 years of being told Americans are bad, it is refreshing to see someone celebrate this country and its citizens. I bleed red white and blue. There was a time we all did. I'm still waiting for the day we end the race, gender and income propaganda to finally realize we're all Americans in this together

Donald Trump won the Nevada caucus and would be the front-runner for the Republican nomination. During his victory speech, he gave a big shoutout to Sean Strickland in front of the gathered crowd. This was a prideful moment for the former UFC champion since Trump hadn’t even mentioned his longtime UFC followers like Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal during a campaign speech.

The UFC fighter has risen in popularity recently, ever since his title win. But Strickland lost his title to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297. As such, he also warned them that they wouldn’t last long with him. On that note, he praised Strickland for his fighting prowess and appreciated his support.

Sean Strickland recently lost his middleweight title to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297. As such, he looked ahead to returning to winning ways and making a quick comeback. With the newly acquired support of Donald Trump, who likes to witness UFC events, one could expect his presence during Strickland’s next fight.
