Sean Strickland will look to defend his title at UFC 297 against Dricus Du Plessis in Vancouver, Canada. Strickland already made fans in Canada with his outspoken remarks. He made his disgust for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau very clear. UFC commentator Joe Rogan also did not like Trudeau, and it is one of the reasons he won’t be in the commentary booth.

With Strickland scheduled to headline the upcoming PPV, clips from his appearance on Joe Rogan Experience went viral recently. In one such clip, Strickland spoke about the importance of religion in the United States of America. Strickland found the present condition of his country similar to Communist China. This is what he said about it.

America is becoming atheist. Like, we could say that if you have no belief, if you have no moral right or wrong, and you're not taught this from a stable family, and you're being raised... I mean, literally, America is becoming like communist China, where we're letting our school system dictate values and beliefs. We're letting the system tell you what your kids are.

Strickland is a vocal critic of the Chinese government. Moreover, he blamed China for brainwashing the American youth through algorithms in social media. Furthermore, Strickland is against woke media, and he recently went off on a journalist in Canada.

Sean Strickland blames corporations for erosion of American values on Joe Rogan Experience

Sean Strickland had a troubled childhood. It is one of the reasons why he took up martial arts as a haven. To his fellow fighters at Extreme Couture, Strickland is a very good training partner. However, his conservative views often come at odds with many, particularly the female fighters. Both Mayra Bueno Silva and Raquel Pennington, the co-headliners of UFC 297, picked Du Plessis to defeat Strickland.

Strickland appeared on Joe Rogan Experience in 2023. On the podcast, he bashed the business corporations. He credited the corporations for the erosion of American values to consumerism. Strickland stated that consumerism created a situation where both parents had to work, and that left children without proper care.

Strickland stated with facts that more than 50% of children on the West Coast of the USA are high school dropouts. The middleweight champion himself is a dropout of his childhood.
