“Dance around like f**king PETER PAN,” Sean Strickland verbally trolls Israel Adesanya for lacklustre performance at UFC 276
Sean Strickland- Israel Adesanya
Sean Strickland continues the legend of roasting UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya for the latter’s technical way of fighting rather than one like a brawler or a powerhouse which entertains the fans and keeps them on the edge of their seats. Strickland last fought at UFC 276 when he, unfortunately, lost via opening round knockout to former GLORY Kickboxing Champion Alex Pereira. Strickland is now scheduled to fight on October 15 when he will face Jared Cannonier.
Adesanya, one of the highest-paid UFC athletes and current #2 Pound-for-pound athlete, last fought at UFC 276 in the main event when he successfully defended his title for the fifth time against Jared Cannonier. Adesanya trains out of City Kickboxing alongside the Pound-for-Pound king Alexander Volkanovski, Dan Hooker, Kai Kara-France, Tyson Pedro and many more amazing prospects. Adesanya is managed by Paradigm Sports alongside the likes of Conor McGregor, Jiri Prochazka and many more.
Sean Strickland calls out Israel Adesanya for “dancing around” during title fight against Jared Cannonier at UFC 276
In an interview with The Schmo, Sean Strickland talks about his upcoming fight with Cannonier, his viral training session advice clip with Khamzat Chimaev, his brutal take on Luke Rockhold and much more. In the midst of all, Strickland decided to mock again Adesanya’s style of fighting which has been producing very less fan-favourite results lately. The last Strickland was seen trolling Adesanya was face-to-face at the pre-fight press conference of UFC 276.
“I am excited man, Jared’s solid guy,” says Strickland “He’s a f**king hell of a fight. It’s kind of a shame Izzy [Adesanya] ran from him and made a really boring fight out of it [at UFC 276], you know, but, it’s not gonna be like that. Me and him fight, it ain’t gonna be boring. I ain’t gonna f**king runaround and dance around the ring like f**king Peter Pan with your painted nails. We’re gonna f**king fight,” concludes Strickland mocking Adesanya’s way of painting his nails.
What do you make of Strickland mocking Adesanya for not only his style of fighting but also for painting his nails? How would you take such kind of trolling from Strickland, just as a joke or way over the limit? Who do you think would win between Strickland and his next opponent Cannonier? If Strickland, should he fight Adesanya next? The buildup to that fight would be very entertaining for the fans. Adesanya is next fighting his foe from the kickboxing days, Alex Pereira at UFC 281. Who do you think wins that fight?
