Shocking: Belal Muhammad shares footage of prefight sparring that felt like ‘Round 6’
Belal Muhammad shows his prefight warmup
Belal Muhammad shows he was prepared for everything in the main event of UFC Vegas 51. The top-ranked welterweight has an intense training routine leading up to his Vicente Luque fight.
UFC Vegas 51 was held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Fight Night was headlined by two stunning welterweights looking to break through the conversation of title contention. Belal Muhammad took on Vicente Luque in a rematch and exacted revenge after five rounds of back-and-forth.
Leading up to the fight, when most fighters prefer to relax and stress themselves too much, Belal Muhammad had an intense training regiment. “Bully B” released footage of his pre-fight warmup that showed great intensity levels. Muhammad and his training partner try to enact how a usual round for Belal could be against Luque.
Belal ended up winning the fight via unanimous decision after dominating a killer like Vicente and keeping his dangerous submissions and striking at bay for most of the fight. “When the prefight warm up ends up being round 6,” wrote Belal in his Tweet.

What is next for Belal Muhammad after his UFC Vegas 51 win?
Belal Muhammad’s win over Vicente Luque at UFC Vegas 51 extended his win streak to 7 fights. Only Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards are the active welterweight fighters who stand above Belal in the list of longest winning streaks. Muhammad has now beaten two top 10 fighters and is now looking for a fight against the top 5 of the welterweight division.
Belal used his time in the post-fight interviews to call out Colby Covington, who is the #1 ranked fighter. Though a fight against Covington could turn out to be unlikely given a fight between Covington and rising superstar Khamzat Chimaev is in the making. Muhammad could most likely end up fighting #3 ranked Gilbert Burns who is coming off a great fight against Chimaev.
Sean Brady is another fighter who is on the rise that could end up being a potential matchup for Belal in the near future. Who do you think matches up well with Muhammad?
