To Nate Diaz recanting his wishes to instead headline the $2.3 billion Las Vegas Sphere for UFC 306. And then there’s always a tease by Conor McGregor spicing it up. Sodiq Yusuff is a name that will partake on the historic card. The featherweight faces Diego Lopes at UFC 300.

However, it’s the matter of Yusuff himself that has sent fight fans buzzing. A recent video saw Sodiq Yusuff’s mother indulging and cherishing her son’s voiceover role in a recent movie. The video shows her rolling with fits of laughter at a particular scene while Yusuff films her reaction. Taking to X later, he wrote:

Yusuff landed a voice role in the new Disney series Iwájú. The culture of Lagos, Nigeria, inspired the series. Well received for its Afro-futurist approach and imaginative sci-fi elements, this is Disney’s first Nigerian-centric story. The show follows best friends Tola and Kole. Yusuff is particularly proud of his work and the showcasing of his Nigerian cultural essence.

Iwájú – A new series from Disney and Kugali Media inspired by the culture of Lagos, Nigeria, features Yusuff in a voice role. Iwájú often translates as “power” in Hausa and “future” in Yoruba, Nigeria. The animated miniseries is currently available for streaming on Disney+.
