UFC 295 is about to host one of the biggest heavyweight matchups in the history of the UFC. Jon Jones will defend his title against heavyweight elite Stipe Miocic on November 11th in Madison Square Garden, New York. Ahead of their highly anticipated fight, Stipe has warned Jones to be aware of a ‘true heavyweight’s power.’
In an interview, Stipe said, “Power(is my X-factor) – there’s no question. You’ve got a big man in there throwing bombs. It doesn’t matter if you throw hard or not. All that weight behind a punch with small gloves, anything can happen.” Stipe seems focused on the title fight.
The 41-year-old is set to make his return after a layoff of two years. His last fight came against former champion Francis Ngannou, where he lost the fight to a knockout. At this stage of his career, Miocic is known around UFC as the greatest heavyweight of all time. However, he felt that there was more to add to his combat legacy. His next challenge is against Jon Jones, who many believe was the greatest fighter of all time. This could be Stipe’s toughest challenge by far.
Stipe’s belief in his power and experience could be a major factor in his upcoming fight. The American national will look forward to using his experience in the octagon against a skilled opponent like Jones. Further, a win against Jones at UFC 295 would, without any doubt, cement his name as the greatest of all time in the UFC.

Stipe Miocic backs former opponent Francis Ngannou in Tyson Fury fight
Heavyweight great Stipe Miocic has chosen his side for the upcoming Francis Ngannou vs. Tyson Fury fight on October 28th. The crossover boxing event will see Ngannou, who’s trained by legendary boxer Mike Tyson, take on established boxer Tyson Fury. Miocic, who formerly faced Ngannou in the octagon, shares a 1-1 record with him. However, the 41-year-old has kept his rivalry apart to choose Ngannou as a favorite in the matchup.
The two fights between Ngannou and Miocic saw two different outcomes. The first fight was dominated by Miocic, while the second one didn’t last long, as Miocic got knocked out by Ngannou in the second round. After that win, Ngannou rose to the top, after which a fight against Fury landed. An entirely different challenge will see Ngannou step into enemy territory i.e., a boxing ring. After signing with PFL, Ngannou took this challenge to achieve success in this dimension of the sport.
Despite all the odds, Miocic believed that his former opponent holds a sharp edge through his footwork and power. Further, the world will be patiently waiting for October 28th to see if Stipe’s prediction is true.
