Two-division titleholder Alex Pereira is all the rage now after UFC 295. The Brazilian out of Teixeira MMA & Fitness gym has been entertaining fans with slight tidbits every other week. Just recently, “Poatan” took the world by storm with news of his split with his girlfriend. And an epic transformation that followed.

The kickboxer and GLORY champion won the headlining event at UFC 295, bagging his second divisional gold. This was against Jiri Prochazka – the “Samurai” of the promotion. The GLORY Hall of Fame inductee has been storming social media platforms ever since. Now, a recent Instagram story has him sporting a Zyn nicotine pouch. A prime reaction read – “Rumor has it he has such a stone face cuz he keeps zyns in his upper lip during face-offs“.

The “stone face” in question was the fighter’s likeness to an Easter Island ‘Moai’ face statue. The fighter maintains a stoic and stern disposition; his language barrier adding to it. Hence during the UFC 295 build-up, this likeness saw more prominence. Jokingly enough, even Pereira accepted it and even left fans awestruck driving a stone face statue in the rain.

Alex “Poatan” Pereira won the vacant light heavyweight title at UFC 295. Correspondingly, this makes the Orthodox stance fighter the 9th two-division champion in UFC. Consequently, nobody has yet achieved the feat faster than the former 185lb champion. Pereira’s seven UFC bouts resulting in two-division championship status are the fewest in company history.

Now, “Poatan” has been storming social media platforms at gradual intervals. This has included callouts, his interpersonal relationships, training and even bizarrely trying out new shoes. Many fans have accordingly lauded the fighter for his “true-American” habitual exercising of nicotine. However, some have argued that Zyn is a Swedish product.
