The young prospects have had a significant online spat on multiple occasions before. The two even called each other out when both were fresh off their UFC debuts.
Both fighters are young and have gained a considerable amount of fan following within their short time in the UFC and now the American has taken the initiative by being the first among the two to call out the other, officially, with a mix and all.
Both Paddy and Terrance have more in common than they’d like to admit. While Terrance may have a blemish on his young UFC record, the circumstances surrounding it only elevate his status. Terrance decided to act as a late notice replacement while taking a significant jump in competition against Drew Dober. While Dober won the fight within the first, it was only after he regained his composure from being KD’d by McKinney.
Now Terrance has returned and continued his rise with another first-round finish. After the fight, however, Terrance realized that it was time to test himself and take a permanent leap in terms of the competition he faces. For this, he felt Paddy Pimblett to be the perfect take-off point.
Post-fight he told the media, about why he feels Pimblett would be the right man for him next, saying, “The fans will love it. I think it’s just about time for us to clash. It’s just a matter of time. Even if it’s not this year, it’s going to come. Me and Paddy will headline a Main Event. It’s going to be a sellout fight. I need the crowd, man. I’m like Goku. I need the spirit bomb. Give me that energy. I need the crowd, Dana. Come on.”
