“Glad he’s getting his flowers” – The Korean Zombie’s new customised WEC X UFC special belt warms hearts of fans
Retired UFC featherweight 'The Korean Zombie' gives an update by sharing a video of a gifted brand new customized belt which consist of UFC and WEC badges.

The Korean Zombie left the octagon for the last time after his UFC Singapore appearance against Max Holloway. It was an emotional night for Chan Sung Jung as he made his walkout to the fans chanting his infamous Zombie song. After a month that moment, Sung Jung revealed a custom-made belt to his fans on social media.
In the video online, Sung Jung showed a glimpse of the belt. The belt consisted of WEC and UFC as the side plates. WEC was one of the other promotions where the Korean Zombie received fame. However, there’ve been no reports on who gifted the belt, but the fans were overwhelmed to see such a beautiful present. Many fans on Twitter shared their reaction. A fan even commented on the post, saying, “I’m glad he’s getting his flowers.“
Zombie has some great memories in the UFC, with wins against the likes of Dustin Poirier, Mark Hommick, and Frankie Edgar. He has also challenged for the featherweight title twice in his entire career. Sung Jung’s debut in the WEC came back in 2010. However, his spotlight appearances were because of his bouts against Leonard Garcia. Both fighters faced each other in both promotions, WEC and UFC.
Many fans were on this journey with The Korean Zombie and believed that the fighter didn’t get the props he deserved. But, at the end of his career, many recognized the dedication behind the Korean Zombie and gave him the respect he deserved.

Fans were full of emotion when they gave their final goodbyes to ‘The Korean Zombie’ after his last appearance in the octagon. His fight against Max Holloway didn’t give him the dream ending but gave him respect. Sung Jung went out just like he came in the octagon, ‘throwing hands’. Sung Jung’s legacy in the UFC will be remembered for a long time. Many UFC superstars like Dustin Poirier, Conor McGregor, Charles Oliviera, and many more have honored Zombie’s career. They showed him respect for such an amazing career. After a month of retirement, this gift means that fans still have a place for Sung Jung in their hearts.
