Themba Goribo became popular among the MMA community with his acquaintance with Dwayne Johnson. His inspirational story made rubble throughout the MMA space, and ‘The Rock’ even gifted him a house as a kind gesture. Now, he faced Pete Rodriguez at UFC Vegas 85 recently. He knocked out Rodriguez in the very first round to win the fight. Later, he revealed his plans to win the welterweight title soon.

In his post-fight interview, Themba Gorimbo expressed his humungous ambition of becoming a UFC champion in 2024. As such, he didn’t hesitate to call out the welterweight champion Leon Edwards and also mentioned Shavkat Rakhmonov, expecting him to be the champion soon. Here is what he said:

I want to fight the baddest guys and I want to become a champion in 2024. I'm here to win and become the champion in 2024, whether its Leon (Edwards) or (Shavkat) Rakhmonov, it doesn't matter. I'm going to beat them.

Although Themba Gorimbo had huge dreams of becoming a world champion, he only had three fights in the promotion. As such, it might be a long way to the title. But, ‘The Answer’ showcased his extreme confidence and called his shots. Further, he mentioned about his charity works during his post-fight speech, inspiring people to do the same.
