Tim Elliot suspects foul play around opponent Muhammad Mokaev’s weigh-ins by Abu Dhabi commission after curtains are called in action

Rising star Muhammad Mokaev takes on Tim Elliott at UFC 294. Elliott is a veteran with over 30 fights in his professional MMA career. He has fought twice in 2022 and won both of them. Elliott will aim to win his next bout to cap off an excellent 2023. Ahead of the fight, Elliott went on social media to indicate that Mokaev somehow cheated to make the required weight.
Tim Elliott wrote, “@muhammadmokaev you know your ass didn’t make weight, they gifted it to you. What was your weight on the digital scales before stepping on the official?” These are pretty serious allegations coming from Elliott. Mokaev has yet to respond to Elliott over the matter.
In the past, fighters have accused the international commissions of playing favoritism to their homegrown fighters. Nick Diaz accused the Canadian Athletic Commission of helping Georges St-Pierre when they fought in 2013. Similarly, Tim Elliott has done the same in 2023. Neither the Abu Dhabi Commission nor the UFC have suspected foul play.
A couple of hours after posting about the weight scandal, Elliott once again went on social media to express his feelings. He wrote, “I know he missed weight, he knows he missed weigh, the @ufc knows, and Allah knows! He owes me a percentage as far as I’m concerned.” Despite the incident, Elliott will have the opportunity to defeat Muhammad Mokaev at UFC 294.

Tim Elliott sponsoring a fighter to defeat his ex-wife’s new boyfriend
The personal life of Tim Elliott in 2023 shocked fans. His then-wife, Gina Mazany, cheated on him with his training partner and friend, Kevin Croom. Elliott dislikes Croom for what he did. He took his dislike of Croom to a new level, as Damon Martin of MMA Fighting reported.
Damon Martin wrote, “Tim Elliott is sponsoring Tony Soto for his upcoming #BKFC fight against Kevin Croom, per his Facebook. Of course, Croom is the guy who allegedly had an affair with Elliott’s ex-wife, former UFC fighter Gina Mazany.”
Croom was part of the UFC till 2022. He had an average career in MMA before switching to BKFC. Only time will tell if Tony Soto helps Elliott gain some sort of revenge against Croom when they fight inside the BKFC ring. This is a storyline never before seen in combat sports.
