UFC Women’s strawweight champion Zhang Weili will go up against Amanda Lemos this weekend at UFC 292. The champ will be looking forward to her first title defense. Just before her faceoff with Lemos, Weili came across Dana White who was on a call with one of the biggest athletes in the world, Tom Brady.

UFC President White was on a video call with Tom Brady when Weili intervened to have her own fan girl moment. Weili looked elated when she found out it was Tom Brady on the call. The former American football quarterback wished Weili good luck for her upcoming fight with Lemos.

Weili has shown a lot of growth after her losses against Rose Namajunas. She has absolutely pummeled her last two opponents to regain her belt. Her work on wrestling has not gone unnoticed as it has been a major factor in her dominance. But Lemos does possesses a threat to Weili for her explosive punching power. Lemos is a great counterpuncher blended with incredible timing. Weili’s advantage lies in her constant adaptation between fights.

If “Magnum” is victorious here many great future matchups lie in the strawweight division. Weili will be fighting to establish her second reign in strawweight history. Meanwhile, Lemos who’s 36 years of age, has a huge opportunity to make her dream come true of becoming a champion. The co-main event will not disappoint with both strawweight fighters ready to put on a show inside TD Garden.

UFC champ Zhang Weili is looking forward to displaying a dominant performance at UFC 292. Weili knows she has a difficult task at hand as she is set to go up against Amanda Lemos.

Weili has already fought against many big names in the strawweight division. Compared to those fights, Lemos is not a big name, but “Magnum” is not planning on underestimating her opponent. Weili in UFC press conferences, has spoken about the danger that Lemos possesses to her style and plans to counter it with a flowing and seamless style. She compared her attacks to the shape and the flowing state of water. The strawweight champ plans to catch her opponent making mistakes and make the most out of them.

The matchup against Lemos seems to be the under the radar because of the main event between the fight between Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley. But, the champ seems sure that the whole nation of China will be focusing on her fight.
