Tony Ferguson had an intense sit-down with the media where he expressed his long standing displeasures with the UFC

Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler go against each other at UFC 274 and it is expected to be a banger. UFC 274 is UFC’s fifth pay-per-view this year, and it is guaranteed to be everything but boring.

The UFC 274 is star-packed, as two titles are on the line. The lightweight champion will defend his belt against Justin Gaethje in the main bout and Rose Namajunas goes Head to Head against Carla Esparza for the women’s Strawweight fight.

However, Oliveira vs Justin is not the only exciting Lightweight fight on the card. Michael Chandler will face Tony Ferguson for a very important Fight in their career. Both fighters have lost their last two fights in the UFC and are now looking to turn around their career once again.

As UFC 274 is approaching, Tony has been making some bold statements about the UFC and its president, Dana white. According to Tony, UFC fighters are underpaid, and the promotion does not care about it. Tony, in a recent interview, also called Dana a “drug dealer” and said he regret not suing the UFC in 2018.

Tony said: “I think we’re underpaid, personally, to be real, I asked Dana to box. He said, ‘F*ck no.’ I’m like, ‘Why? I want to go play baseball. I want to go do other pro sports. I’m an athlete. I grew up playing different sports at a high level.… I want to go do all these couple things but then I have this guy right here acting like a f*cking drug dealer telling me I can’t do this sh*t. I want to go make more money for my family.”

The press conference for UFC 274 wrapped up on Thursday night. Each fighter responded to various questions asked by the media representative. Ferguson had little to say at UFC 274’s pre-fight press conference, but he made his words count.

Tony Ferguson has already lashed out at Dana White for not paying him enough in the UFC and not allowing him to play other sports. This time Ferguson called upon the UFC to supply its fighters with health insurance.

Tony said: “I’d say let’s get some insurance for these fighters. Let’s raise the tier up. You know what I mean? When they did the Reebok deal, they had tiers. So how many fights you had inside the octagon I’d say we do the same thing, man. We all have families, we all have to support our systems, and let’s do that sh*t, man. I don’t know, Dana’s not here, but let’s get insurance.”

UFC fighters don’t have health insurance and they only receive formalized health insurance for instances in which a fighter is injured in a bout or while preparing for a scheduled bout.
